Still almost there

I thought I would post this almost-done picture to show what one of these shawls looks like when still on the needles. Pretty unattractive and baggy! The magic happens later -- hopefully in a few days.



The white threads you see in the knitting are my lifelines (threads run through the knitting to hold the stitches in case I drop one or want to rip back).

    So Lucie I have a question. With all these beautiful shawl you have made what are you doing with them? Surely they aren't folded neatly away in a drawer or are they?

    Great idea, the threads. Never thought of that, but what a lifesaver when one has to rip back! The shawl is beautiful! The blue is infinitely nicer looking than the photo in the Kinzel book, done up in white. Color really changes the whole look of the pattern, doesn't it?
